Extend your catalog with personalized products — automated

Add print-on-demand products to your existing store without building your own warehouse. Native Shopify app or REST API, fully automated order routing, all data hosted in Germany.

Who is this for?

Established online shops eventually reach a point where they want to extend their catalog with personalized or POD products — name mugs, custom gifts, seasonal limited editions. Building in-house production and a warehouse is often not worth it: the new products are supposed to complement, not tie up resources. PrintHub plugs in where you already sell: as a native Shopify app, via the WooCommerce API, or through a REST interface. Every order with a PrintHub SKU automatically goes into our production — the rest of your catalog runs unchanged.

Challenges

What often slows Online Shops & D2C Brands down

Extend the catalog without building a warehouse

You want to offer name mugs, personalized notebooks or limited-edition shirts — but the logistical complexity would overwhelm your existing warehouse setup. A separate process is unavoidable.

Fulfillment integration has to be automatic

Manually forwarding every order to a production partner does not scale. Once daily order volume runs in the hundreds, you need a system that routes orders on its own.

GDPR compliance is non-negotiable

Your customer data is the shop's most valuable asset. A fulfillment partner with processing outside the EU or without clean data-processing agreements is not an option for a serious D2C brand.

Personalized products need robust data handoff

Engraving text, custom names and uploaded designs have to move from shop to production without a break — including character limits, special-character handling and file validation.

How PrintHub solves it

Tailored for Online Shops & D2C Brands

Native Shopify app or REST API

Official Shopify Fulfillment Service app — installed in 15 minutes, OAuth-based authorization, auto-assignment by SKU. For WooCommerce and custom systems our REST API is available: POST orders, receive webhooks, push tracking back.

Fully automated order routing

SKU-based splitting: PrintHub products go to us automatically, your other SKUs stay in your existing fulfillment. No manual sorting, no dispatcher role needed.

All data hosted in Germany

Our infrastructure runs on German hosts in German data centers. A data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28) is standard during onboarding. No third-country data transfers, no US cloud dependency.

Robust personalization pipeline

Line-item properties, cart attributes or custom fields are cleanly passed to production. We validate character lengths, character sets and uploaded files automatically — and report back before a faulty print ships.

Use cases

Concrete scenarios

How Online Shops & D2C Brands use PrintHub in practice.

  1. 01

    Add birthday and wedding collections

Your store has decor products for events. Add personalized mugs, gift boxes and notebooks with recipient names — produced on demand, shipped directly.

  2. 02

    Seasonal limited editions

Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day: every year you release themed products. With POD you extend those campaigns without risking post-season dead stock.

  3. 03

    Personalized variants of existing products

Your bestseller is a notebook. Add a personalized variant (engraved name, custom cover design) — the customer pays 30% more, the margin stays with you, no warehouse load.

  4. 04

    Lunch boxes with custom artwork

For family shops: lunch boxes and timetables with children's names. Customer-friendly interface, robust production, ready to ship — a classic POD hit in early autumn for back-to-school.

Frequently asked

What Online Shops & D2C Brands often ask

How does order routing work if we already have other fulfillment partners?
In Shopify you create a separate location for PrintHub. Our assignment rule identifies PrintHub SKUs and creates fulfillment orders directly to us — other SKUs keep routing to your existing warehouse or drop-shipping partner. No manual sorting required.
Which scopes does the Shopify app request?
We request exclusively read_orders, write_fulfillments, read_products and read_locations. No access to customer data beyond the minimum required for fulfillment, no access to payment data, no changes to products or prices.
How fast is the integration?
Shopify: 15 minutes from install to the first successful test order. WooCommerce via API: 1–2 days of development work for an experienced developer. Custom systems: depending on complexity, usually 3–5 days.
Do we get a data processing agreement (DPA) before go-live?
Yes. The data processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28) is a mandatory part of onboarding and is signed before the first real order. The template is always available for download on our site.
